Weather/Packing

Southeast Alaska

Cruise ships travel through the stunning inner passage, making stops at various ports in Southeast Alaska. This region is known for its temperate rainforest climate, with Ketchikan alone receiving an average of 145 inches of rain each year.

Temperatures during the peak season of May through September range from 55-65 degrees, with occasional highs in the low 70s.

However, weather can be unpredictable, with warm and sunny days followed by cool and rainy ones. As this is a rainforest, it's important to pack accordingly for potential changes in weather.

Pack according to how sensitive you are to these possible conditions.
